Audited processes. Credible impact.

We are TÜV SÜD verified

Our entire process, from collection to final processing, is verified by TÜV SÜD. This enables you to transparently demonstrate your impact and communicate your environmental contribution with confidence.

Why this matters to you

Confidence in your impact communication

At everwave, we stop plastic waste in rivers before it reaches the ocean. Through independent verification by TÜV SÜD, every step of our value chain is audited and documented. This ensures that your impact is transparent and fully traceable, from collection through to final recovery or processing.

Own Operational Controll

everwave develops, operates and manages its own projects and maintains operational control over the key process steps.

End-to-End Track & Trace System

everwave maintains an end-to-end traceability system that enables the complete tracking of collected material from collection to final recovery through comprehensive data capture and supporting evidence.

Responsible End-of-Life Management

Collected plastic waste is demonstrably directed to qualified recycling or co-processing processes, supported by documented evidence.

Credit Integrity & No Double Counting

Plastic Credits are uniquely assigned and managed through controlled issuance procedures to prevent duplicate issuance, sale or claiming.

What TÜV SÜD verification means for you

For our partners, independent verification provides one thing above all else: confidence in impact reporting. Every Plastic Credit is backed by documented processes and transparent data. Through our systems, every step can be traced, including where, when, and in what quantities plastic waste was collected and how it was subsequently processed. This allows you not only to communicate your impact, but also to substantiate it with credible, verifiable evidence at any time.

We manage our own projects

At everwave, we develop, operate, and manage our own projects. This gives us direct control over key process steps, from organizing and carrying out collection activities to documenting and processing the collected material.

Our own teams and operational infrastructure enable us to manage activities on the ground and collect relevant data ourselves. Through our local teams, we create transparent and traceable processes across the entire value chain.

In addition, our projects are certified under the Ocean Bound Plastic (OBP) Standard. This includes compliance with national regulations, fair and responsible working conditions, and high standards for operational quality and transparency. Regular audits and independent verification help ensure that social, environmental, and operational requirements are consistently met.

Track & Trace: From River to Recovery

We rely on an end-to-end track-and-trace system. Data is captured from the moment waste is collected and documented throughout every subsequent step of the process. GPS coordinates, photo documentation, volume data, and additional records are consolidated within our proprietary software, migo.

This ensures full traceability of the material, from collection through to final recovery or disposal. As a result, every Plastic Credit is backed by a documented process and supported by transparent, verifiable evidence.

We know what happens to our waste

The collected material is demonstrably directed to qualified recycling or co-processing processes. The relevant process steps are documented and supported by verifiable evidence. As a result, traceability does not end at the riverbank. It extends all the way to the final recovery of the collected material.

Prevention of Double Counting

Each Plastic Credit is assigned a unique identifier. Controlled issuance processes ensure that a credit cannot be issued, sold, or claimed more than once. This creates a clear and verifiable link between every Plastic Credit and the documented impact it represents.

This not only increases transparency within our system but also gives our partners confidence in their impact claims. Companies can clearly demonstrate how their Plastic Credits contribute to preventing plastic pollution, backed by traceable data and documented evidence.

International Standards

Verified in accordance with ISO/IEC 17029:2019 and ISO 14064-3:2019

ISO/IEC 17029: The standard for validation and verification bodies

ISO/IEC 17029 sets out internationally recognized requirements for validation and verification bodies and their assessment processes. The standard is designed to ensure that verifications are conducted independently, transparently, and in a consistent and traceable manner.

By providing a robust framework for the verification of environmental and sustainability-related claims, ISO/IEC 17029 helps build trust in verified data and outcomes. Organizations can rely on the fact that assessments are carried out according to internationally recognized requirements and subject to independent oversight.

What this means for you: The environmental impact behind our Plastic Credits is based on independently verified processes and documented evidence. This gives you a credible foundation for your impact communication and confidence that your claims are backed by transparent, externally verified data.

ISO 14064-3: The verification standard for robust environmental impact

ISO 14064-3 sets out the requirements and procedures for the independent verification of environmental impacts and related data. The standard ensures that environmental information is assessed for accuracy, completeness, and traceability through a structured and transparent verification process.

Its focus is on objective evaluation, reliable evidence, and transparent documentation of results, helping to build confidence in environmental claims and impact reporting.

What this means for you: The environmental impact behind your Plastic Credits is not only measured and documented but also verified according to internationally recognized standards. This creates transparency, strengthens the credibility of your sustainability communication, and provides a robust foundation for communicating your impact with confidence.

This provides a solid foundation for credible, evidence-based environmental communication.

3

What standards was the verification conducted against?

The verification is based on internationally recognized standards:

  • ISO/IEC 17029:2019 for independent validation and verification bodies

  • ISO 14064-3:2019 for the assessment and verification of environmental impacts, data, and supporting evidence
